Official Timed Test Results Gives Mark Something to Smile About!

In the Final Shake Down before the season gets underway, Mark Dryden of Saltire Vehicles topped the other drivers by posting the fastest time during Saturday's Timed Test Session. Mark pipped his team mate Ken Thirlwall  by 2 tenths posting a time of 1:03.729 which is just 2 tenths outside his own lap record.

Mark comments "I am delighted with how the car handled and how quickly it all came back to me. It is a great confidence boost and I can't wait for the season to start now." The season gets underway on March 30th at Knockhill with a triple race format for the Scottish Cooper Cup.

Mark has confirmed that he will be competing in the 2008 Smartycars.com Scottish Mini Cooper Cup. After an encouraging last few results of 2007 season with a double podium and a lap record at the final meeting, Mark can't wait for the new season to start.

He says " This year is very exciting as the grids are expected to be around 20 cars with the series attracting a lot of talented drivers from other Championships. This season the Minis have the same triple race format as the British Touring Cars so it should provide some entertaining racing. I am really looking forward to getting stuck in and getting back onto the podium.
